China's top ride-hailing firm Didi Chuxing has mandated Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley to lead its blockbuster IPO and plans to file confidentially for the New York float this month, two people with knowledge of the matter said.

BEFORE THE BELL
Wall Street futures were subdued, as a rise in bond yields weighed on richly valued technology stocks a day after the S&P 500 closed at a record high. European stocks were little changed, after hitting longest weekly highs since November 2019. Japan's Nikkei ended higher, with the beginning of the earnings season. The dollar recovered, following weak U.S. jobs data. Gold prices slipped. Oil prices dropped, dragged down by pandemic fears altering oil demand. Data for producer prices is scheduled for release, later in the day.

STOCKS TO WATCH
Results
Levi Strauss & Co: The company on Thursday raised its half-year revenue growth forecast, banking on COVID-19 vaccine rollouts to spur a return to normalcy, after the denim maker beat estimates for quarterly results on a pandemic-led e-commerce boost. The jeans maker said it expected its revenue to increase 24% to 25%, up from a prior range of 18% to 20%, for the first half of its fiscal 2021. Levi also said it expected adjusted per-share profit for the period to be 41 cents to 42 cents. Analysts on average expect a profit of 30 cents per share for the first and second quarter.

Deals Of The Day
Crown Holdings Inc: The company has agreed to sell 80% of its European tinplate business to private equity firm KPS Capital Partners in a deal valued at 2.25 billion euros, the packaging products supplier said on Thursday. The company said it would receive pre-tax proceeds of about 1.9 billion euros from the deal, which it would use to reduce debt and buy back shares. The unit for sale comprises 44 manufacturing facilities in 17 countries in Europe, the Middle East and Africa and produces food cans, aerosol cans, and promotional packaging.

In Other News
Alphabet Inc: TAE Technologies, a California-based firm building technology to generate power from nuclear fusion, said on Thursday it had raised $280 million from new and existing investors, including Google and New Enterprise Associates. The company, which did not disclose its latest valuation, was valued at $2.6 billion after raising funds in May 2019, according to data platform PitchBook. Including the latest funding, TAE has raised $880 million till date.

Amazon.com Inc: Roughly 500 ballots submitted in Amazon’s landmark union election have been challenged in a contest that will determine whether an Alabama warehouse becomes the online retailer’s first organized workplace in the United States, people familiar with the matter said. Representatives for Amazon and the Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union (RWDSU) challenged the ballots during closed-door election proceedings that lasted more than a week before U.S. officials began publicly counting votes. They were able to question ballots on suspicion of tampering, a voter's eligibility and other issues.

Boeing Co: The company has asked 16 of its customers to address a potential electrical problem in certain 737 MAX airplanes prior to further operations, the U.S. planemaker said. Separately, Boeing said it had filed a suit against and canceled contracts with a Texas-based supplier for Air Force One, the aircraft that carriers the U.S. president, over delays in completing interior work on the two heavily modified 747-8 planes.

CVR Energy & Delek Holdings Inc: Billionaire Carl Icahn's refiner CVR, the largest shareholder in Delek which has been trying to choose three members of that refiner's board, filed a lawsuit on Thursday seeking to inspect books and records of Delek relating to its CEO compensation. The lawsuit wants information about total compensation of Delek CEO Ezra Uzi Yemen, which CVR alleges was near $81 million between 2013 and 2020. CVR says that total includes revenue not disclosed in company proxy statements.

Facebook Inc: Social media company Facebook suspended 16,000 accounts for selling or buying fake reviews of products and services on its platforms, after the Britain's competition watchdog intervened for the second time, the regulator said. Separately, Facebook said services on its platforms including Instagram and Whatsapp had been fully restored after thousands of users reported connectivity issues for more than an hour.

Goldman Sachs Group Inc & Morgan Stanley: China's top ride-hailing firm Didi Chuxing has mandated Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley to lead its blockbuster IPO and plans to file confidentially for the New York float this month, two people with knowledge of the matter said. Didi, backed by Asian technology investment giants SoftBank, Alibaba and Tencent, is looking to list as soon as July, according to the people.

Nike Inc: The company said on Thursday a Brooklyn company that made "Satan Shoes" in collaboration with the rapper Lil Nas X has agreed to voluntarily recall the shoes, as part of a legal settlement with the athletics giant. The settlement with MSCHF Product Studio Inc resolves a trademark infringement lawsuit that Nike filed last week over the black-and-red, devil-themed sneakers, which carry the Nike "swoosh" logo and quickly sold out at $1,018 a pair.

Pfizer Inc: Australia has doubled its order of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, Prime Minister Scott Morrison said, as the country raced to overhaul its inoculation plan over concerns about the risks of blood clots with the AstraZeneca vaccine. Until late Thursday, Australia based its vaccination programme largely on an AstraZeneca shot, with an order for 50 million doses - enough for the required two shots for its entire 25 million population - to be made domestically by biopharma CSL.

Rio Tinto PLC: Rio Tinto said it has reached a binding agreement with Turquoise Hill over funding for expansion of the massive Oyu Tolgoi copper-gold mine in Mongolia. Rio and Turquoise Hill will restructure debt payments of up to $1.4 billion with lenders and look to raise up to $500 million in supplemental debt under existing financing arrangements. The agreement will smooth the way for the next phase of development, which has faced cost and timeline blowouts and has caused acrimony between the mining giant and its junior partner.

Sogou Inc: China's antitrust regulator is ready to clear Tencent's plan to take the country's no.3 search engine private, three people with knowledge of the matter told Reuters, a move that signals the watchdog is willing to wave some deals through even as it ratchets up sector scrutiny. The regulator, State Administration of Market Regulation (SAMR), has no objection to the $3.5 billion deal for the 60% of U.S.-listed Sogou that Tencent doesn't already own, the people said, as long as Tencent is willing to set up a special mechanism to ensure data security - a first for SAMR deal approvals.

Tegna Inc: The company's shareholder Standard General called on the company to open its books and records to investigate what it claimed as a "broad pattern of bias and racially-insensitive behavior" at the U.S. regional TV station operator. Citing media reports and a scathing letter it received from a former Tegna employee, Standard General alleged that the company management had shown bias towards employees over many years based on race, ethnicity and physical disability.

Technische conditie Wall Street:
